What do schools think of Anomaly Film? We’re glad you asked. In this blog post, hear the opinions from schools all over the UK about the most revolutionary project of 2015! Anomaly Film is the new, recently launched, digital experience that we are currently promoting at Anomaly.

Woodlands High School in Cardiff have had the kit for a short time, but they are already demonstrating how Anomaly Film can help SEN students to build confidence whilst learning new skills. Here’s what they had to say:
“We have been absolutely thrilled with the Anomaly Film kit and have used it for a number of projects in the short time we have had it. A year 7 class has created several short news items for ‘Woodlands TV’. We have made a music video to help students spell high-frequency words and 2 of our year 10 students are filming and editing a new G-Force film using the class guinea pigs! It is a great tool to develop a wide range of skills as well as providing our students with a huge boost in self-esteem.”
Shaw Wood Academy have been long-term customers to Anomaly. Previously they’ve gone as far to say that our training was “absolutely outstanding and atomic”. Here’s what they think:
“I am the ICT coordinator from Shaw Wood Academy. In Year 6 we have used the Anomaly Film equipment twice this week, with the children setting everything up, not me – it takes less than 10 minutes easily. We actually had it set up on Monday afternoon after a script writing session in the morning. During the morning session, we had DfE in and they actually said that as they couldn’t find fault with the lesson! They didn’t need to see the Anomaly Film session. They were really able to see the energy of the children because the whole class wanted to be ready for the recording session. Also, I think that it shows my confidence in the equipment and purpose of the resources that I was willing to use it during a DfE visit and I was honestly gutted that they couldn’t stick around to see it.”
Finham Primary have been Anomaly customers for a long time. They’re setting the standard for other schools on the digital scene. Here’s what they said about Anomaly Film:
“The Anomaly Film kit is fab. It was great to go through everything and have a team member from Anomaly confirm the aspects I already knew. I received some extra training to use the kit to its best use and I’m glad I did. I’m not much more comfortable using the Anomaly Film kit. We have incorporated the kit into our timetable and use it every Friday afternoon.”

We’d like to congratulate a few Anomaly schools, Barnton Primary School, Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School and Leamington Community Primary School for their tremendous hard work to get themselves nominated for an award!

The first of the three Anomaly schools, Barnton Primary, saw recent success as they were nominated for “Most Inspirational Primary School”. This Anomaly school wanted a digital media upgrade to their existing infrastructure. Barnton Primary are existing customers of our new product Anomaly Film. The school are currently teaching their pupils all about current topics by using this revolutionary product.

The second of the three Anomaly schools, Sacred Heart Catholic Primary in Liverpool, saw recent success as they also were also nominated for “Most Inspirational Primary School”. Similar to Barnton Primary School, they wanted an alternative to their existing digital media strategy. Anomaly was quick to install one of our famous 47″ screens which has allowed them to take a different approach to showcasing talent throughout their school. The screens also allow them to display messages throughout the school for parents to see whenever they are picking up their children from the school.

The third and final school, Leamington Community Primary from Liverpool, have also been nominated for the “Most Inspirational Primary School” award. That’s not one, not two, but THREE Anomaly schools that have been nominated for inspirational school awards. Much similar to Sacred Heart, Leamington were looking to show off the current success of their pupils. The school is now sporting an Anomaly screen to do exactly that. All three schools were looking for a digital alternative to their existing infrastructure.

Feel like you need a revamp? Give us a call. We have a range of services  which is proven to increase engagement throughout schools all over the UK. If you want to have a look at the “Educate awards” in more detail, you can do so by clicking here.

Anomaly UK prepare for national recognition. In this blog post learn all about the work we’ve been doing with various different projects. As well as exploring new projects, read all about the national success for our products. With the release of Anomaly film we’ve been reaching out to schools all over the country to try and promote the product. We’ve had the pleasure to receive a write up and testimonial to go in the NPW Newsletter which is sent to all headteachers in Newham. Below you will find a few quotes from the piece:
“Incorporating Anomaly Technology across all areas of the National Curriculum has proved both exciting and challenging for Ranelagh pupils. Two external, portrait screens have been installed in the playground and they have been used to motivate pupils into taking part in activities before the school day begins and also serve as an important means of communication with parents. The most recent technology incorporated into the school timetable is ClassACT, soon to be renamed Anomaly Film, which enables green screen filming and editing. Anomaly have provided in-depth training and the ‘studio in a box’ is compact, portable and user friendly.” “The Anomaly equipment has many and varied uses at Ranelagh Primary School and this term it has been used in conjunction with the Newham Mayor’s Every Child a Musician (ECaM) programme. Anomaly Schools Development Manager, Adam Peet, said, “Anomaly are constantly seeking new ways to support schools which will enhance pupil development. When we heard about ECaM, we thought it was a fantastic initiative with the pupils’ best interests at heart. We used our Anomaly Film studio to help Ranelagh showcase their budding musicians, whilst building pupils’ confidence. The feedback from the pupils proves that active learning is a successful way to engage pupils in the classroom. We look forward to seeing more schools in Newham bringing learning to life in the same way as Ranelagh Primary School.” Head of School, Shella Lawrenson, who was instrumental in bringing the innovative Anomaly technology to Ranelagh Primary School added, ” We have set up a successful partnership with Anomaly and the introduction of all-weather, external screens in the playground and the implementation of Anomaly Film across the curriculum has inspired and motivated the whole school and has sparked the children’s creativity. We have used the equipment for music classes and history projects and the applications are endless.” Ranelagh is looking forward to working with Anomaly throughout the school year and incorporating further innovative technology into the school curriculum.
These are just a few quotes in the upcoming press release. To keep up to date, be sure to constantly check our blog for any updates. ClassACT is rebranding, introducing Anomaly film. Anomaly film is the new interactive alternative which creates an immersive digital experience for schools. Anomaly film aims to provide a new revolutionary dynamic to the classroom. Previously Anomaly offered a service called ClassACT. ClassACT was a mobile filming studio which could be incorporated into the classroom that allowed pupils to make films related to subjects they were currently studying at the time of filming. anomaly film What we were already doing  As with a lot of Anomaly’s products, we already had a strong following of enthusiastic teachers who loved the product. The first step was to analyse where we were with the product currently and how it could be marketed to better suit the success that it is. Creating a separate platform to showcase the product has allowed us to demonstrate the work that schools all over the country are producing. The plan The plan was to completely revamp the ClassACT website. The website needed to be up to date with relevant content. This included updating any old information and replacing it with up to date testimonials and video examples that schools had produced with the kit. The new website is now easier to use. Access is now available across various different platforms and much more accessible for the user to navigate around. The execution Once everything was planned, it was time for the execution. Firstly we included more keywords and relevant information in the hope that we would bring more traffic to the Anomaly film website. After release we are now beginning our marketing campaign, starting with this blog post. We plan to reach out to existing schools via email marketing campaigns to inform them of our products with a view to reach out to potential schools. The next step is to promote the website through our existing social media channels and our own social media network, LinkOurSchool. After much consideration, we’ve rebranded the product and we’re proud to introduce, Anomaly film.
