Embrace Euro 2016 and improve your school with Anomaly

Euro 2016 is just around the corner. The 2016 UEFA European Championship has just started and will be the 15th edition of the championship. In this blog post we’re taking a look at active learning in schools and how schools can embrace Euro 2016 and use it to improve activity levels. But how can you use the upcoming tournament to teach key subjects at your school?

Encourage active learning

With Euro 2016 starting over the weekend, we thought it would be a good idea to the positive impact that football can have in school. The main health benefits of playing football regularly are a reduction in serious illnesses such as heart disease and many more. Any exercise will reduce these health risks, but studies have shown that activities such as football can reduce these particular risks. Studies have also shown that children who play football or participate in sport at a young age are likely to carry on in later life and live a healthier lifestyle as a result. In addition to having a healthier lifestyle it is also shown that children have better concentration levels, they are not as fatigued as other pupils who do not do sport and as a result, tend to perform better in the classroom.

With such a big event like Euro 2016 hot topic at the minute, it’s important to capitalise on this and display some content from the Anomaly Content Manager on to your screens for all of your pupils to see.
