Today is #StandUpToBullying day and in this blog post, read about how Anomaly are preventing bullying in schools as we mark this important occasion. Bullying is a subject which Anomaly takes very seriously. According to a BBC report, children who are bullied can still experience negative effects on their physical and mental health more than 40 years later – that’s why we are determined to help schools and young people to tackle bullying with the use of our Anomaly screens. We have a comprehensive library full of content to help, advise and encourage young people to stand up to bullying.
Live Action content
These videos offer bullying advice and tips from young people, to young people. Put these videos on your screens to offer peer to peer advice about what to do, not only if you’re being bullied, but if you see bullying as well.
We all know that unfortunately, bullying can reach young people 24 hours a day via social media. This can be particularly upsetting and have a negative affect on mental health and well being. These videos teach young people how to be safe online, report any bullying they see and speak to an adult if they are being bullied online.
As well as traditional advice videos about ‘typical’ bullies, we have a piece of content about bullies disguised as friends. These kinds of bullies aren’t always obvious to young people but this video gives some signs to look out for.
More content is constantly being added around this subject and you can find any current content available on the Anomaly Content Manager by simply searching ‘bullying’. If you struggle to load the content on your screens, please do not hesitate to give us a call.
