Encourage digital learning with inspiration from the Olympics

With the Olympics in full flow, why not embrace digital at your school? The Olympics have just started and we’ve been looking at how schools can embrace both the Olympics and Anomaly equipment over summer. In this blog post we’re taking a look at active learning in schools and how schools can use the event to improve activity levels. But how can you use the upcoming tournament to teach key subjects at your school? Encourage active learning  Encouraging active learning is something we always promote at Anomaly. With every blog post related to keeping healthy we try to suggest to our schools what they can do to ensure they’re promoting an active environment. With the Olympics starting over the weekend, we thought it would be a good idea to talk about the positive impact that exercise can have in school in relation to utilising Anomaly equipment. It’s important to encourage active learning all year round, especially with the announcement of more funding being allocated in relation to the sports premium for schools. According to the department of education website, with the sports premium, schools with 17 or more pupils receive £8,000 plus £5 per pupil. For an average sized school with 200 pupils, the school will receive around £9,000. Why not use Anomaly equipment to put your additional sport premium to good use to improve the quality of PE? We have a lot of sports content on our screens which can be used to improve the existing sports equipment at your school. Below you’ll find an example to some of the content that is displayed on our screens which aims to improve activities levels of students in the playground. As well the content from UK Sports Coaching, we have vast amounts of sports related videos for our schools to enjoy. If you can’t find something that suits your needs, please do not hesitate to give us a call and request some different content.
