In this blog post Anomaly focuses on one of its successful schools, North Ridge Community School. North Ridge have been kind enough to write a few words regarding the Anomaly service. Discouraging prejudice, discrimination and unequal opportunity is something that North Ridge takes very seriously. This, among other things had lead them to discover the Anomaly service. North Ridge Community School north ridge community school Anomaly has had the pleasure of working with North Ridge Community School to constantly improve their existing digital infrastructure and help promote all values that the school are currently promoting. North Ridge recently had some green screen training which was led by our trainer, Matt Ogden. Jade Goodwin, Teacher and ICT Co-Ordinator from North Ridge Community school said: “I just wanted to say a massive thank you for the green screen training. Matt was great. The kids really loved the session and were attentive throughout. Matt was very helpful all day and was very patient with our students. I had a lot of great feedback from both the students and staff. It has now given me further ideas for future with my class.” Jade also went on to say: “The kids were really enthusiastic and engaged which was a fantastic result. As we were rehearsing for our Alice in Wonderland production in the afternoon, Matt used that time to show me how to edit the video and add text and sound. We almost finished the entire video so this allowed me to show the students the finished version today which was great. Thank you again and hopefully we can work with Matt again in the future.” If you would like to incorporate any Anomaly technology into your school, or find out more about our vast range of services in the education sector please do not hesitate to call us on 0844 579 0880 or alternatively you can email us on the usual address info@anomalygroup.co.uk Twitter | Facebook

What’s on this April? Find out in this monthly feature which focuses on all the things you can expect this month on the Anomaly Content Manager. The Anomaly content manager is a tailored platform designed for schools to get the most out of their Anomaly screens. In this blog post discover everything relevant to the month of April as we continue through the spring months. Each month we write a blog post for our schools to read through which highlights key material which is coming up for each month. Here’s a full list of content that is scheduled for the April month: dinosaurs, debating, introducing yourself in Spanish, Hinduism, tips to stay safe: online gaming, chess board riddle, bullying, talking to an adult, school lunch box, fruit and veg, tomatoes, hay fever, head lice, using the right toothbrush, recycling, renewable energy, warm up routine, bring it back dance, basketball and walking to school. Tips to stay safe: Online Gaming OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA Online gaming can be a fun way for pupils to connect with others, but as with everything, there can be problems. It’s important for people to understand the risks and know how to handle a certain situation which can often prove difficult when it’s happening. This month we’ve created content which outlines how people can stay safe when gaming online. The content specifically talks about how you can deal with bullying online but also how to stay safe in terms of protecting against people who may use your personal information against you. This content is specifically created in line with “educate against hate” as well as promoting British values themes of respect, which is going to be constantly pushed out over the next couple of months. Introducing yourself Introducing yourself can be difficult at times. Especially in a language you may not recognise! We’ve got content on our Anomaly screens this April which shows how one can introduce themselves in a different language. We often display content which shows how to learn another language. Previously we have created content which shows French and Spanish animations that taught pupils some basic phrases that they could use every day. Other content As well as all the content we’ve highlighted in this blog post, we’ve also uploaded the Educate Against Hate video in line with a lot of the content we’re already playing. We have a moving version of the poster that the government has put up for schools to download. The content has the words “extremism” and “terrorism” in it, so we felt that it’s up to our Anomaly schools to decide if they want to show it on their screens. We have made it available to drop into playlists, but we are not broadcasting it ourselves. So that’s it for this month! As well as producing all this content for our schools we also recently launched our YouTube channel which you can find by clicking here. Alternatively you can watch a recent tutorial that we pushed out last week which can be found below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4iLe3DvQqE If you would like to incorporate any Anomaly technology into your workplace or school, or find out more about our vast range of services in the education and construction sector please do not hesitate to call us on 0844 579 0880 or alternatively you can email us on the usual address info@anomalygroup.co.uk Twitter | Facebook
