Galliford Try joins with Anomaly Hi-Vis in £1 Billion Manchester Airport upgrade

On the 30th January, Galliford Try launched with Anomaly Hi-Vis to provide ‘Safety TV’ for the duration of Galliford Try’s work on Manchester Airport’s Transformation Programme.

Galliford Try, one of the largest and most prestigious construction companies in the UK has chosen Anomaly Hi-Vis as their health and safety signage provider. Anomaly’s Hi-Vis system enables instantaneous site updates throughout the Manchester Airport site displaying on large format external screens strategically positioned to obtain maximum exposure to construction workers and visitors alike. Galliford Try now has access to a bespoke site and company-specific content that highlights safety issues and other need-to-know information. Site managers also have the ability to communicate with the entirety of the site staff, instantly.

James MacDonald, Aviation Assurance Manager at Galliford Try said:

“The Anomaly digital screens have provided Galliford Try with a unique and innovative way to communicate key health and safety information to our workforce, supply-chain, visitors and members of the public. They have become pivotal in raising health and safety awareness and sharing best practice, project updates and general company information both quickly and easily.

We’re able to customize each screen depending on the target audience and this allows for relevant, eye-catching and memorable information to be shared. From a health, safety and environmental perspective, this is crucial in communicating and raising awareness of hazards alongside the control measures in place to prevent an incident on site.

We’ve installed numerous Anomaly screens across the Galliford Try Aviation Business and the feedback so far has been incredibly positive. We now plan to explore what other Business Units will benefit from this technology and continue to work with Anomaly in bringing innovative communication technology to Galliford Try, something which is adding real value in building and maintaining our strong health and safety culture.”

Anomaly, initially launched in schools in 2007, provide effective communication systems, distributing health and wellbeing information on weather and vandal proof screens. Anomaly now provides the construction industry with this unique system to deliver essential site tailored health and safety information to site workers and visitors.

Anomaly Managing Director Phil Austin says “Anomaly Hi-Vis is incredibly excited to be working with Galliford Try at such massive and prestigious development. Anomaly continues to attract a massive interest from Construction, Manufacturing, Nuclear and Utility Companies from around the world. The ease of use and flexibility of our Hi-Vis system enables our clients instantaneous access to screens located at any of their locations. Screens can be updated, with new messages, video footage or company information from a Smartphone or PC, all they need is standard Internet access. There are hundreds of video and message templates on our online portal, all tailored to the clients branding.”
